My short life is a loan
For my failures, only I is to blame
And when the day is done
The earth absorbs my moan
In my world
I choose not to be grief-stricken
And absorbed in the ills of the world
The amplitude of my hopes
No one can debunk
As a fish gasps for breathe
When it’s tossed into earth
So do I walk in pursuit of bliss
That cannot be felt
When pleasure becomes incapacitated
Deeply and tightly
In contempt’s seizure
I refuse to allow the strings of hope break
And the melody of life flow out of key
For then we hear the echoing silence of brokenness
My salivating tongue languish in famish
I have spoken and acted without rest
My belief: a little faith can move mountains
Our world my be hopeless
But mine is hopeful
I dutifully wait and cling unto thin ropes
As I am faced with unavoidable loopholes
I want like a deserted wife
Longing for her lover’s homecoming
As the ocean hasten to the sandy shore
And pride dines with prejudice at ego’s table
My heart budges to the soothing succour
Of the simple fact that I still live on
It’s our world
Influenced individually by us
Where there’s a will there’s a way
All for one, one for all
